The Inner Sanctum...

 Fantabulous FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!

Good morning Peeps! Happy Friday to you and I hope it is going to be a super fantastic day for you. FUN FAST and EXCITING!!!!

We had some major excitement this morning here in my little part of the world. We had a 5.4 earthquake this morning!!! Now if you live in California, an earthquake is no major thing cause you can normally expect to have a few, but here in my fair State of Ohio..well we don't have earthquakes here, so this is a huge news story this morning.

Most people were woke up from a sound sleep with the headboard and walls shaking and creaking. Some people calling in say they thought their house was possessed or that a wreak or something caused it. So far not much structural damage was reported, which is a good thing we can all be thankful for. Lovie & I didn't even feel a thing. That is good and perhaps it is because our love ROCKS our world anyway so a mere earthquake ain't got nothing on us!

Sooo you ready to answer the Friday Questions? Go Hog-wart wild and get your weekly fix. I've even added 5 BONUS questions for ya! Have fun Peeps and have a fantabulous Friday!!!

 KaBooms and Detective PolarB

Hello Peeps!

I trust that you are all heading into a fantabulous week and that you had an enjoyable weekend. Lovie and I had an exciting weekend...it involved a great Friday evening with good friends and food...a loud boom and calling johnny law in to the scene of a crime!!!

Yes we are just fine and still have use of all of our limbs and parts, but before I get to that let me tell you about our fun on Friday night. The group of people I work with are a fun bunch of coworkers and we all get along fantastically well. I really do work with a great team that support one another and have fun in the process. Lately we've been going on monthly happy hours as a way to get together outside of work in a fun playful environment. This was our fourth one and it was a blast! We headed to BW3's for good food and drinks. One of the guys that used to be in our group came by to join us because he misses our lively group. He took another job last year and his new team somehow isn't quite as fun as we seem to be. I really like him and we have a great relationship as we love pulling pranks on one another whenever the opportunity presents itself. He is a great family man and I know his family well.

I'll tell ya my last prank I pulled on him. Last Halloween he dressed as a Hooter girl complete with bright orange shortie shorts and a Hooter cutoff halter top complete with a very buxom set of fake boobs. During the party a lot of pictures were taken at this Halloween party and fortunately for me, he sent me all the candid shots! Well that was like putty in my hands and of course I had to find a way of using the one where he was laying on a fireplace hearth posing like a centerfold model in all his hairy glory with that cute little orange outfit on. There is a history here that we all used to tease him about on of the field reps coming in that is an older woman who has a liking for our pretty boy. We nicknamed him "Cooter Bait" because she is always trying to entice him to have an intimate little dinner with her and she flirts outragously with him whenever she comes into town. My cohorts (coworkers) in this last prank got in on the action too. Someone bought him a tee-shirt that said "Cooter Bait" on it. I wrote a special song for him to the tune of "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" by John Denver, except the new title was "Thank Gawd I'm her Cooter-Bait" I wrote the song out for him and had it framed with his lovely fireplace pose in that cute little orange outfit that was blown up to super-size proportions. We had a special little presentation for him in which he ROTFLMAO !!!

Well that was just one of many pranks we have pulled on one another and with other members of our team too. Like I said it is a pretty fun loving group and we tease each other often. Last thing I was teased merciless about was making the grave mistake of buying those little dickies that you wear under a sweater to give the look of having a turtle neck underneath the sweater but without the heat of a full turtleneck shirt. And yes.... I poke fun at myself too and wrote a fun little ditty to the tune of "Oh Mickie your so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind". It changed to "No dickies, you're not mine, I'm not lying, I'm not buying! No dickies! No dickies!" If you haven't guessed by now.. I am the official songwriter of our group. Somebody does something silly and yep you guessed it.. there's gonna be a song about it! For those of you who have been around a while reading my blog... remember the dead hamster story and song " No Not I...I did not survive! She put me in a baggie and she froze me when I died!" that I wrote? You guessed it.. That was for a coworker!

So anyway, we all headed to BW3's. We had a group of 12 and the place was hopping. My one buddy who is also a part time DJ sometimes was there as well and he is always lively and animated. You get him and Cooter-Boy together and no telling what will happen but it is guaranteed to be amusing. He is the type of guy that loves to tell these big outlandish tales based on odd facts and has you guessing all the time whether he is telling the truth or pulling your leg. Last time he told us about chickens who lay Easter Eggs that are already pastels colored as they are hatched. He had us all going and swore up and down it was the truth. None of us believed him. Of course he Googled it the next day and sure enough he was telling the truth. They call them the Easter Egg hens. He loves doing stuff like that to us. The conversation was upbeat fun and there was constant laughter about something. All around we had a great time and stayed for about four hours laughing and just having a blast. The food was great too. I know most people go to BW3's for the wings but I had the ribs and they were awesome! The Blue Moons went down pretty smooth too.

Saturday was cold and damp outside so we couldn't really work out in the yard much. We did the normal weekend stuff.... groceries, laundry, relaxing. I surfed a bit on the net and was sitting there all nice and relaxed with my new chair massager going up and down my back when all of the sudden we heard a huge BOOM!!! I was like WHAT THE HECK???!!! Lovie and I both ran to the door because it sounded like an airplane had crashed into our garage. Next thing I know Lovie is out the door and running down the driveway. I was trying to figure out what was going on and hurried to go grab a coat before I went outside. Lovie was mad I could tell. She walked across the street to where the mailboxes were and guess what? No mailboxes!! I saw her picking up shattered pieces of wood and the pieces of our mailbox, what was left of it anyway. Two other neighbors mailboxes were gone too laying in the middle of the street and a huge 3 foot round boulder had been hit and knocked into the road as well. I yelled to Lovie if she wanted me to call the neighbors and she said no, call the police.

I called to local police and tried to describe what happened to the best of our knowledge and then I called our neighbors because their property had a lot more damage than ours. We live in a quiet neighborhood so not a whole lot happens. We've had our mailbox taken out by kids with a baseball bat before which is why we installed two metal poles on each side of the mailbox. This time though when we found the metal poles they were bent completely in half. The 4x4 posts was in shreds and the mailbox was obliterated. Our neighbor across the street came out and saw the damage to his property and Lovie told him she saw the car leaving the scene. In fact the car had a lot of damage to it too because there were huge pieces left at the scene. It was a burgundy car and Lovie said it had to have major damage. Glass and headlight pieces everywhere. Huge chunks of metal from the car and of course all three of the remnants of the mailboxes scattered all over the street.

Our neighbor was pissed to say the least. He went racing down the road in his truck trying to look for the car. His yard was dug up pretty badly in addition to his boulder being moved about four foot and the mailbox damaged too. By then the police arrived and we gave him a quick rundown of what happened and he took off down the road too. We collected all the pieces and parts from our mailbox and posts and by then the other neighbor came out to see what all the fuss was about. The gist of it all was apparently a guy was driving who shouldn't have been behind the wheel. The police said he was most likely drunk by the tracks and how he swerved. We filled out a police statement and so did our neighbors. They haven't found the guy yet and most likely today three people will be digging new holes for posts and putting up new mailboxes.

After Lovie and I went inside, she looked at me and said... "Well that was some excitement for a Saturday night wasn't it?" For our little quiet country neighborhood I suppose it was. The police report will be posted in our little community press newspaper and hopefully they will find the guy and give him a lecture about driving drunk.

Side note here.... Lovie and I went out on our on little investigation mission Sunday morning scanning the neighborhood for a burgundy car with major front end damage. I happened to see a guy walking down the road with a huge gash on his forehead and in a driveway nearby was an old burgandy car... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I couldn't get a better look at it and I didn't want to stop in case somebody pulled out a shotgun and started shooting at us for lingering on their property.

Lovie and Private Eye P-Bear will stay on the case to see what comes of it and I will report any finding or updates on this open case.

Anyway it was a great weekend and an exciting one at that! Bear hugs to you all and have a great week peeps.

Bear Hugs!

 Garbage Truck

Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.

We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!" This is when my taxi driver taught me what I call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck."

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks.

They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you.

Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.

Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so.....

"Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't."

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
