Hello and Happy Friday my friends!

I am going to enjoy the day being off work today. A little cookin, a little relaxation, maybe a movie later, and a bunch of surfing on this ole box. Later this afternoon I have to go to the doc to get a minor thingy done on my toe which will make it feel so much better. For some silly reason I keep getting in-grown toenails on my big toes that become so painful, so this is the second nail that I have had to get cut off partially to relieve it. I will be a very happy camper when that is done.

I've been working a lot on my other site which is my 360 blog that focuses on healing from childhood abuse and it is taking off like wildfire this past few weeks. I seem to be getting about 20 hits per day which means more people are reading it and hopefully it is able to help them to deal with the effects of abuse in an effective positive way. I am glad to be able to help others and it has been good for me as well to discuss and write about my own journey and to see how far I've come to in the present moment.

Waiting for Spring!

Hello Peeps!

I hope you are having a wonderful week so far. It is raining here today but the temps have been alot warmer. We are expecting a bit more snow tomorrow. Hopefully it wont stick around much as I am so looking forward to Spring.

I adore Spring. It is my favorite season of all. It reminds me of my healing journey when all things that are dormat over the long cold winters finally come peeking up out of the ground with new growth. As they struggle to break through the earth they are delicate and tender, yet as they grow they become stronger and more sturdy. They blossom into beautiful buds of flowers full of vibrant colors.

We do that too. As we grow along our path and our journey in life we grow and blossom into something very beautiful. Our souls feel complete and whole and we learn to love ourselves and take care of our needs and wants and desires.

Even though the path may be hard at times we are constantly moving along the upward spiral, growing and healing our lives. The hurts and pains that once devastated us no longer have the power to disrupt our lives like it once did. We will never forget the hurts that were done, yet we take our power back and know that the pain and hurt that was perpetrated upon us does not define who we are as a person inside.

When we get triggered by things that remind us of our past, we can simply acknowledge it and know that we don't live there anymore. We can feel proud of how far we have come and hold our heads high that we are strong survivors of life. We are truly blessed and it feels good to be able to make our own choices for our lives now as adults.

As it is still cold here and we are in the midst of winter weather, it is the time to nurture ourselves and to feel the calmness before our growing season.

I know this is a day early but I have alot going on tomorrow as I am hosting and leading a drumming circle at my house tomorrow evening. Lovie was pretty sick today with dizziness and extreme vertigo and hopefully by tomorrow she will feel a bit better. I have to get ready and fix snacks and set up the circle and cleanse the area so it will be a busy day for me.

I love this woman's voice and most of you will probably not know who she is but I wanted to share this song with you. It was always one of my favorites. It's called "Angels" and it's one of those songs that is just uplifting and makes you feel good.

I like all kinds of music and have a nice selection of contemporary christian tapes. If you've never really paid much attention to them you really should check some out sometimes. Susan Ashton is one of my favorites along with Margaret Becker, Christine Dente, Gravity, and Cheri Keaggy.
