The Inner Sanctum...

 Only a few........

The bright green moss deep in the forest was incredible... almost like being in another world.... I was in heaven!

This was a waterfall we came across... in fact we have driven by many times and missed it... it is set back in the trees but what a beaut! The pic just does not do it justice...

This was another small waterfall that was cascading down the mountains and rocks....

Sorry I dont have more but still working on it... however that is all for tonight...it's 2:30 and time to go to bed...

Love,
PolarB ;)

 Slow process

Well Bloggerville,

I am trying to download pics for you to see but it is an extremely slow process and it keeps rejecting them. I am uploading to the gallery one at a time in order for it to take and sometimes it still does not take however I will keep trying.... I have dial up...yes I know it friggin sucks but what's a girl to do?

I was able to load one which will give you a sample...I originally had about 40 shots to share with you but it may have to be less than that unfortunately.... at any rate it is taking me alot longer than planned so you may have to stand by with baited breath until I can git r done.......

Anyway here is a sample shot of the mountains...

Fill your senses with it and breathe in that refreshing mountain air..... I know I did!

Catch up with ya later and I'll be working behind the scenes here downloading and uploading like crazy with lots of patience...

Later gaters!

Love,
PolarB ;)

Friday Fun Facts... The Phoenix rises once again....

FRIDAY FUN FACTS !!!!

OKay... it's Friday once again.... and since I've been away for a bit I thought I'd post my FFF again just for the heck of it! So here they are...

  1. Cheesecake is probably the only dessert I really prefer if I am eating sweets… the rest I can do without.

  1. I love to read but rarely take the time to anymore…in fact I have been reading the same novel for three months now… normally I can read a book in a day.

  1. My family of choice is very important to me and I would be lost without them in my life… I rarely think of my family of origin anymore.

  1. Even though I am gay, I still like to look at handsome men and love their hottie bodies. Sometimes that seems to surprise people… it doesn’t mean I want to sleep with them; I just like looking at them and would love to capture them in a photographic sense.

  1. My favorite card game to play is Phase 10.

Soooooooo.......Did you learn anything new or fun about me yet in all these postings????

There will be a test.....

Hugs- PolarB ;)

 Hey Peeps

Hello again bloggers!!

Man.... summer has come to us full force since we have been back from the mountains..... we had a bit of a suprise when we got back into town... apparently there was a bad storm that took out alot of neighboring electrical lines and through that even though ours did not go out... the storm blew our transformer on our furnace... so guess what? That meant no air conditioning.... and as the temperatures have been rising to upwards of 90 degrees each day... it's been hotter than a witches tit in our humble abode..... we ate dinner in the basement the other night and was debating on whether to sleep down there....

In all of this I have to share an extreme act of kindness with you.... we have used this heating and air conditioning company that is a father and son team a couple of times... when Lovie called him on Tuesday night to see if they could come out and look at the furnace, he said he would be right over in about three minutes! Apparently he was in the neighborhood. So he did and that is when he told us the transformer was blown. So he said he didn't have the part on him because he had just used the last one on the previous call, so he told us he would be back the next day. Lovie asked him how much it would be for the service call and he said oh, don't worry about it, we got ya covered and we will be back out. He said the part would run a little over $130.

So last night I got home and the son of the company pulled in the driveway right after I did and he went right to work down on the furnace.... he came back up and it was moments later and our air was on and running perfectly.... Lovie was ready to make out the check and ask him how much the part was and how much for the service call.
He said "Not a thing mam, just consider this your lucky day...."
This was the nicest young man and he told us how they wont let their customer's go without air in this heat and that if they know there are elderly folks they will go get them fans until they can get them back up and running. He was as polite as he could be and I know his father would be proud of him.... in fact his father is just like him and cares about what they do.... I was just amazed at this generous act of kindness especially in todays world....

Wouldn't it be a wonderful thing if you could pass on that type of kindness to another? Maybe it is something as simple as opening a door for someone, or carrying an elderly person's groceries, or paying for the cars behind you in a toll booth? Or sometimes just smiling and telling others to have a great day.... how simple is that, that we can all do each and everyday?

I have a challenge for you.... make it a point to practice and complete three acts of kindness a day..... not just one day but everyday.... try it and see if it changes your mood or your outlook....you never know what kind of an impact it may have on someone else. It could make all the difference in the world and could be the difference that somebody needs in their life. Maybe yours....

It reminds me of a story I heard once and if I can find it I will add it to this post... but for now I will leave you with these thoughts...--- By the way, I hope you have a wonderful day and someone is kind to you....

Love,
PolarB ;)

 Immmm backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Yo Peeps-- Da bear is back in town!

Ahhhhh... refreshed and relaxed from all that wonderful mountain air and the scenery there...... I tell ya one day I am gonna have me a little piece of land and live in a cabin there...... the photography opportunitites were magnificent.. although one day my battery ran out of juice-- damn things..... shame on me I forgot to recharge it the night before in all of my excitement....almost had a bear on film however we did not get to spot the feller considering it was raining and we was on a narrow one way road with no place to pull off...but we sure smelt the feller big time and knew he was lurking around real close..... went back the next day but no luck, he was gone from the area. But I did get some great pics which I am downloading.... I took almost 400 shots.... yes and I could have taken many more....

The camping trip was great fun and even my little Sophie kitty was such a great traveler and she loved camping.... Lovie was in heaven as well as I..... we had two little lovebird squirrels that delighted us everyday right in the trees by our cabin. We were up high in the trees on the upper level of the campground and had a great view overlooking the whole camp. The weather was perfect and sunny for the most part with cool nights for sitting by the fire. I have to say I was exhausted each night as we took in all that fresh air.

I got in the pool a few times although the water was frigid cold... it woke up all of my senses and a few other things too...LOL! Like jumping into a jacuzzi filled with ice cubes.... but alas I consoled myself by warming myself in the hottub which my knees begged for repeatedly. All in all a very great trip and Lovie and I have decided to make it an annual event for the week before Memorial Day every year.

So today was back to the grindstone and getting up at the butt crack of pre-dawn... it wasn't too bad and I love what I do so that makes it easier.... but how nice would it be to be able to not have to go to work everyday and just enjoy getting things done and traveling here and there..... in my next life I would like to be independently wealthy...... yeah...wouldn't we all?

It is good being back on the stream and I have to say that I missed you all and at times wondered how you were all doing in your little parts of the world..... I have not had time yet to paddle down the stream and catch up and it seems to be getting late so I will bid you a good night for today and will catch up to you soon!

and yes.... before you say it.... I will be posting pics as soon as I get a chance.... thank you for sharing my journey with me and letting me peek into your lives as well....

Love from da great white bear-
