In response to the Iceman I have decided to run a little fun contest- Many of you know I spent time in the mountains over the holidays but I never actually said where I was headed- I took some pictures of my locale and the surrounding area and thought it might be fun to post them to see if you can guess where I've been.........Ice- Alaska???? that's a fur piece from me????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...... I am northward but not that far north- LOL!

PS- Kaz and Mama Bear won't be able to participate because they both knew where I was headed- so they can just enjoy you guys making guesses.

You guys already know it was in the United States and it was an area known for the mountains.... The rest will have to be figured out by clues... Here are the pictures...

Hello all my blogger buddies!

Hope you all had a safe and happy New Year! I certainly enjoyed mine! Breathing in all that fresh mountain air relaxing in the hottub and enjoying the great views and the peace and serenity that the atmosphere provided. Took a drive up into the mountains several times and stopped by a little stream to enjoy the sounds of the currents flowing down stream. Found some beautiful rocks and just took in all that wonderful energy that nature provided. It really does renew your spirit if you stop and take it in.

Our cabin was delightful- beautiful log cabin with all the amenities- pool table, foosball and wonderful king size beds with double pillowtops that just cradled your body as you fell into them at night. Even enjoyed the open jacuzzi tub although I had an incident with adding too much bubbles and was swallowed whole by an overflowing bubble balooza but all in all it was fun and I was needing some desperately.

This year will be a year of new beginnings for me- I do not usually make resolutions as usually they do not last long but I do want to try to have more awareness this year as to be more aligned with my spiritual side and to feel the peace and goodness that life has to offer. It is there for the taking if only we will slow down to grasp it. I know the things to do to feel the serenity, it is only a matter of opening myself up to higher awareness and listening to the small voice within.

The ending of last year was a closing to many things for me and an opening to all the wonderful things life has to offer me. I have came through the fire and am willing to walk in the light- so that is what I am aiming for. I have a really great job with a really awesome manager who appreciates me for who I am. I will not have to struggle as I have in the past. I will not have to fight to stay alive and keep myself guarded any longer and that is a freedom that I deserve.

A numerologist told me once that once I reached my forties that I would have it made- smooth sailing and all my struggles so to speak would be in the past. Since I am already 41 I was wondering when this was going to take place- It's a little behind and about time this sucker kicks in! Now I know everyone has struggles from time to time but all my major life struggles seem to be behind me. This is a time for new beginnings.- I will focus on my writing and my art and photography and I will allow myself to feel what I know is my truth.

I have made a good breakthrough in my healing journey as well- I never thought that I would be struggling with my memories again because I had been thriving for so many years but lo and behold it reared it's ugly head again to bite me in the ass and I had to work through some major stuff. Nobody really wants to wade through all that muck again so there was definately some resistance but as I heal and grow I realize these steps are necessary to be able to walk in the light once again.

I really am grateful for my journey and all it has to teach me. It teaches me to trust and to be willing to open myself up to another human being and let myself be loved and nurtured. It also shows me that I deserve to be free from fear and it is okay to be happy and lets my inner self be free to be all that I am within- and that is creative and beautiful and wonderful.--- Now that my friends is some powerful stuff. So I guess the ending to last year was a bit of transformation for me as well.

And lastly- I have all my new friends on here and a wonderful new sister- my Kaz that I really look forward to getting to know more as well as all my blogger buddies-

It is certainly good to be back- Love to you all and let's get this party started!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I may not be on here much for a while- with Christmas holiday nearing and after that we will be heading for the mountains for a little R & R to bring in the New Year.
